Mobile Internet Devices are the newest generation of devices. Based on years of experience with navigation and professional vehicle integration, and in close collaboration with Hitachi, Clarion developed this concept further and added a new key function: navigation. A completely new device category was then born.
The ClarionMiND is a Mobile Internet Navigation Device, making access to the Internet possible at home, in the office, or at hotspot locations using WiFi or in combination with a mobile phone via Bluetooth®. As a result, the user has unlimited real-time access to cutting-edge information all the time, everywhere.
The optional docking station enriches the vehicle's audio system with many attractive features and goes far beyond what conventional GPS navigation devices can accomplish. The ClarionMiND is also equipped with a user-interface that automatically blocks pre-selected functions during the drive. Up-to-date traffic information is available via the integrated Radio Data System – Traffic Message Channel function.
This all-in-one multimedia device provides access to all up-to-date information and entertainment supports. Based on a sophisticated navigation engine, 42 European countries are covered by the integrated map data, with the user also able to download coordinates to the device directly from Google, storing their destination in the system.
The full browser can access any website, and the wide and ultra-clear touch-screen provides perfect viewing comfort. Emails can be easily checked and sent thanks to the virtual keyboard, and direct access to YouTube or MySpace is made possible thanks to specially-designed applications. Music Sync is included to enable access to your own online music library, as well as Real Player and even digital television.
