Sir Stephen Gomersall's speech at European Business Summit 2009
The European Business Summit, held in Brussels in March, was attended by 2,500 visitors. As main sponsor of this event, Hitachi had a good visibility around the event and the supporting media campaign and Sir Stephen Gomersall, our Chief Executive for Europe, was one of the panellists during a session on eco-innovation.
Hitachi's stand was very well located in the centre of the venue and showed a selection of Hitachi's eco-innovations. There were also demonstrations of Hitachi Software's interactive whiteboards.
The feedback from Hitachi's first sponsorship of one of Europe's most important business summits is positive with an increased visibility of Hitachi to European stakeholders. The next summit will take place in June 2010, at the start of Belgian presidency of the EU.
