Hitachi stand at Intermat 2009
Hitachi Construction Machinery (Europe) NV (HCME) was among the major exhibitors at Intermat, one of this year's largest trade shows for the European construction industry. The event was held in Paris Nord-Villepinte between 20th and 25th April, and was attended by around 185,000 visitors. Supported by the national sales office, Hitachi Construction Machinery Sales & Service France (HCSF), HCME displayed a broad selection of machines including mini, medium and wheeled excavators, a wheel loader and special application machines.
Two of the latest models on the Hitachi stand were the new ZX14-3 mini excavator and ZW140 wheel loader. The ZX14-3 is lightweight and narrow, so it can be transported easily on a trailer and is ideal for working in confined spaces. The ZW140 is the smallest addition to the Hitachi wheel loader range. It has a powerful yet economic engine and a spacious cab that is comparable to the larger models.
Hitachi also highlighted its special application machines - the ZX250W-3 and ZX360W-3 are two new examples of its material handling equipment and have been developed specifically for this application with greater lifting capacity and elevated cabs to provide all-round visibility. To illustrate the versatility of its factory modified machines, Hitachi exhibited the ZX470LCH-3 demolition excavator with 27m high-reach boom.
In addition, HCME presented its after-sales service, which incorporates five key areas: e-Service Owner's Site, technical support, warranty, parts and remanufactured components. This helped to increase awareness among Hitachi customers of the comprehensive and high level of support provided by its official dealers.
“Exhibiting at Intermat gave HCME the invaluable opportunity to present its current product line-up to existing and potential customers in France.“, says HCME International Sales Manager Paul Burger, “The machines received much interest from international journalists and we look forward to seeing the exhibition reviews in the construction press“.
