The Hitachi Design Centre Europe is a multidisciplinary design team based in London, UK. We provide service design, user experience design, user research, trend research, graphic design, product design, mobile application and web development to the business divisions of Hitachi Europe and beyond.
As a part of Hitachi’s Centre for Social Innovation, we have a special focus in the areas of energy, health, transport, manufacturing and logistics. Our aim is to use design to enable Hitachi to improve society through technology; to create richer lives and a better society.
We approach each design challenge independently, applying the best contemporary design practices and theories to the problems that need solving. Our design processes aim to produce products and services that are always human centred, customer focused and business enabling.
Our international team of designers come from many different backgrounds: industrial and product design, web and graphic design, user experience design, service design, ergonomics, sociology and psychology.
Being part of the wider CSI family, we can also rely on a network of engineers and researchers, providing all the necessary technical know-how.
Our offices are located near Paddington, London, within a short walk of London's landmarks, business communities and creative tech hubs. We share our offices with Hitachi researchers, aiming to create a vibrant co-creation space where next generation ideas can emerge.
