Hitachi Unveils Train for the UK Intercity Express Programme

(TSE:6501, “Hitachi”) announced today that it has unveiled one of the trains being manufactured for the UK Department for Transport’s Intercity Express Programme (IEP), the order for which was received in July 2012. The new trains are scheduled to be completed by the end of 2014, and will be shipped to the UK for test operations in the first half of 2015.
