Demonstrated Test Driving with an Autonomous Driving ECU Equipped with Eleven Advanced Driving Applications Including Low-speed Adaptive Cruise Control (Traffic Jam Assist)

Tokyo, December 26, 2016 --- Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. today announced that it had equipped a vehicle with an autonomous driving ECU (Electronic Control Unit) that has 11 advanced driving functions including low-speed adaptive cruise control (traffic jam pilot), and drove the vehicle on the company’s Tokachi Test Course, demonstrating that all functions worked correctly. The feedback obtained from this demonstration will be used to make further improvements aimed at starting sales of the autonomous driving ECU in July, 2017.

Hitachi Automotive Systems and Clarion Developed a Remote Parking System Using Smartphone that Enables Driverless Parking

Tokyo, December 22, 2016 ---Hitachi Automotive Systems, Ltd. and Clarion Co., Ltd. today announced the joint development of a remote parking system that automatically performs parallel and perpendicular parking as well as garage parking and exit from outside the vehicle through remote control using smartphones. The companies are going to introduce the system to vehicle manufacturers to attain early commercialization.

Newton Aycliffe, County Durham; 9th December, 2016 --- Hitachi Rail Europe (HRE), a global rail specialist with over 100 years of industry expertise, today celebrates the first Intercity Express (IEP) train to be built in the UK at its manufacturing facility in Newton Aycliffe, County Durham. Hitachi Acquires Turkish Kurt & Kurt to Further Strengthen the Healthcare Business

Through the acquisition, Hitachi will gain the healthcare business platform which would help further expanding its global business and provide the total solution by strengthening operation services for hospital imaging centers and so on.

Hitachi Automotive Systems’ mono tube shock absorber used on minor change models of Toyota’s Lexus IS series

Hitachi Rail Italy Awarded Service Contracts Worth 108 Million Euro

Naples (ITALY), 30 November 2016 – Hitachi Rail Italy has been awarded three Service contracts for a total amount of 108 million Euro. They are for the provision of maintenance of Frecciarossa 1000, Frecciarossa 500 and TSR regional trains. The new contracts include activities of control, monitoring and maintenance through the supply of materials and experienced skilled labor.
