Tokyo, Japan, November 15, 2012 – Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501) today announced that it will strengthen its Hitachi WAN Accelerator Family lineup which dramatically increases the speed of data transfer among multiple corporate sites. As the first step, on November 19, 2012, Hitachi will begin selling the newly added Hitachi WAN Accelerator Remote Backup Model (hereinafter “Remote Backup Model”) that allows high-speed backup between data centers for domestic and overseas telecommunications providers, data center operators, cloud computer service providers and other customers handling so-called “big data.”
