Hitachi to Host Social Innovation Forum in London On Tuesday 28 th November at The Berkeley Hotel, Knightsbridge London, November 16 th , 2017 --- Hitachi Europe Ltd., a subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd.

(TSE:6501), today announced that it is hosting a Social Innovation Forum in London at The Berkeley Hotel on Tuesday 28 th November 2017. The event, which forms the UK leg of its global series of Social Innovation Forums, will highlight how Social Innovation can lead to the creation of a safer, smarter and healthier future, as well as demonstrate Hitachi’s wide range of technologies.

The Hitachi Social Innovation Forum 2017 LONDON, presented by The Telegraph, will focus on how co-creation in the public sector and the industrial Internet of Things in the private sector are the key drivers for the realisation of Social Innovation. Around 150 senior influencers from UK, European and Global markets will attend to explore the key themes and opportunities presented by ‘co-creation’ and IoT in developing new solutions to the business challenges faced today.

The Forum will comprise of two sessions. The morning session, on co-creating change, will provide practical insights for Heads of Planning, CIOs, CEOs and Heads of Digital from the public sector. Keynote speeches will be given by Ram Ramachander, Chief Commercial Officer, Social Innovation Business Division EMEA-CIS, Hitachi Europe;

David Wright, Director – Electricity, Chief Engineer, National Grid and Professor Keith McNeil, Clinical CIO, NHS England. The afternoon session, focused on the industrial Internet of Things, will cater to private sector CIOs, CEOs, CTOs, Head of Digital, Head of IoT and other experts across a number of industries. The session will feature keynote speeches from Hicham Abdessamad, Deputy General Manager, Social Innovation Business Division, Hitachi, Ltd; and Stuart Birrell, CIO, Heathrow Airport.

An exhibition will give guests the opportunity to explore Hitachi’s latest technology solutions, including the chance to see an interview with its humanoid robot, EMIEW3 and experience a virtual reality demo of predictive maintenance technology for trains. An area dedicated to sustainability will demonstrate how Hitachi’s Social Innovation Business is contributing to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
